Plot: Lucas and Brooke head to New York together to visit Haley. There they get a glimpse of what Haley's life has become and Lucas tries to convince her to come home. However, despite Lucas telling her how depressed Nathan is without her, Haley tells Lucas she isn't coming home. Back in Tree Hill, Nathan and Deb plot to get Dan out of their lives for good. Peyton is able to get Jimmy Eat World to perform at TRIC, but her elation brought on by the performance is dashed when Jake decides to leave Tree Hill once again. Meanwhile, Andy invites Karen to spend the summer in New Zealand with him.

Meanwhile, when Nathan wakes up he tells Haley he doesn't want her to come home and Deb continues to face her pill addiction.

Peyton and Jake both confess their true feelings for each other on the tape as their feelings for each other begin to blossom and heat up. Anna confesses her deepest, most guarded secret, but instantly regrets it. Meanwhile, Felix throws Brooke a party to celebrate her being elected student body president. Elsewhere, Karen takes Dan and Lucas to court in order to get Lucas back home, but Lucas opts to live with Dan and Deb instead.
